Why participating in GROW? What is so special in this program? Here are some thoughts from the former participants, now enthusiastic Ambassadors of the project, who are proud to promote GROW by sharing their own experiences!

The GROW Amabassadors are students who have graduated at least 2 editions of the project or/and have entered in the GROW support team.

Diana NoveanuWhen I first joined GROW 2 years ago I used to be really shy. I recall not talking to anyone in my class for the first 2 lessons, let alone speak in public or present anything, but then slowly I started to open up, and by the end of GROW I had made a lot of new friends and became a very talkative person.

The sessions in my first year helped me extremely much, so of course I applied again in 10th grade, and this year I had ten times more fun than last year. It’s really helpful to practice English with foreigners, and besides the practical skills and theory GROW is basically a program where you learn about other cultures just as much as you learn about your own person. Now I can say I have good friends in 4 other countries and we still keep in touch with some of the trainers, they’ve been so nice to us all the times, we’re not so different after all.

The best part of GROW are always the people you meet, not only the trainers, but every single person you encounter there can teach you something useful for the future, that’s why I knew right away that I wanted to be an ambassador so I could spend as much time as possible with these amazing folks. Being an ambassador has many perks, you get to be involved in other actions and even help organize some events at times, besides promoting GROW and learning a lot of organizational and practical tips from such an amazing team. It’s so great knowing that you’re part of something so cool, helping others and at the same time helping yourself become a better person.

Alex BalasA lot of fun combined with learning useful things and developing golden skills, meeting new people, bond the craziest and strongest friendships… a completely different experience.

The answer is GROW!

3 amazing editions so far and I won’t stop here!!!

Cami MariaI am Cami, and I am from “Gheorghe Sincai” High School and I decided to join GROW after I saw a presentation. It seemed very interesting so I decided to give it a try.

I didn’t know what impact it would have on me. I started to know myself better by learning a lot of things. I made a lot of good friends and I still keep in touch with them. We got to know each other and hang out a lot most of my summer. It was wonderful and I had the best summer! That’s why I wanted to be an ambasador, so I can be involved more is this project, not as a simple participant.

It’s amazing, it’s worth participating and spending all of your summer with GROW!

Cristea CristinaI discovered GROW thanks to a promotion in my school. What attracted me the most on this project was the opportunity to find out new things about other cultures, directly from people from that culture.

I am a very curious person, I am willing to learn something new and this project has fulfilled my desire, but at the same time it was a challenge, which I’m glad I accepted. I made lots of new friends thanks to GROW.

To be an ambassador is a new challenge, this time I have to put into practice everything I learned during the sessions, which means I’m still growing, because with GROW next to you, you never stop growing!

Andrei MitreI heard about GROW from some colleagues who seemed pleased with the project, so I said “Why not?” The experience was more than pleasant, because it came in a difficult moment for me and made it more bearable. GROW taught me new and useful things.

As an ambassador of this project, you can see things from a different perspective and get to know the “behind the scenes” of the project. This is not only a ticket to AIESEC, but also a way to learn how to manage a project and, of course, a guarantee that you will have cool people next you.
