In every city where GROW takes place, we have a local team that implements the project, led by a coordinator (OCP). We are preparing a new GROW edition, so let’s meet the local coordinators! We’ve asked them about their high school years, their personality and how they would change the educational system. Today we present you Dragos.
- Despite the fact I am an engineer, I like very much volunteer actions, such as festivals.
- I will be there for anyone who need a friend.
- Sometimes, movies in the evening are like the best way to get asleep for me.
There are more than one great experience during high school years. One of them is about GROW, where I meet one of my best friends, Catalin Aldea, who is also Team Leader of GROW, in Cluj-Napoca. At a GROW session we played a “game” where I had to convince other participants to be a part of my team and together build a hotel. In order to do that, I had to convince them to join me and I had to be confident about what I say and what I want to do in that game. For me, that was the first time doing that and it helped me a lot, even now, and the best example is that I succeeded and became team leader of GROW in Timisoara.
If I were a country, I would be Brazil, because I’ve talked to many people from there and they are full of energy, enthusiasm, their life is colorful, with many great experiences. They have their problems, but they don’t forget about the fun and human part. I promised myself I will go there, but I don’t want to go alone, I want to go with some GROWzavi friends.
To improve education in Romania, I would introduce a course where they teach you about the real life, about the city, discover yourself, improve yourself as a human (creativity, public speaking, confidence when you are with other people and confidence in yourself etc). Then, I will change how the teachers hold a class/training with more examples from real life, where you can meet what you study and how exactly is that going to help you.
